Oatmeal with mango (Aug. 16, 2007)
This was my breakfast this morning. I've discovered a new (to me) way of cooking oatmeal:
1. Measure out your oats. Set aside.
2. Measure out your water. Put in pot and boil.
3. While waiting for water to boil, chop up a piece of fruit.
4. When water comes to a boil, stir in oatmeal.
5. When the oats all look wet, stir in fruit.
6. Cover the pot. Turn heat off and leave the pot on the burner.
7. Wait for 30 minutes.
This makes a nice, creamy oatmeal with the fruit all nice and soft. Yum! Try it yourself.
